On January 29, a plane crash near Washington, D.C. killed all 67 people aboard, including 42-year-old Justyna
Beyer and her 12-year-old daughter, Brielle. Brielle,
a cancer survivor, had recently achieved her dream of joining the
U.S. Figure Skating National Development Camp. Her father, Andy, was on his way
to pick them up when the tragedy occurred. A GoFundMe campaign has been launched to
support the family, and the incident has deeply impacted the figure skating community.
